The McLaren MP4/10 arrived in 1995, a bold yet controversial Formula 1 contender that marked McLaren's earnest attempt to claw back to the front of the grid. Designed by Neil Oatley and Henri Durand, the car was a stark departure from its predecessors, featuring a distinctive needle-nose design and a radical mid-wing—elements that immediately sparked debate in paddocks and pubs alike.

Underneath its unconventional skin, the MP4/10 housed a brand-new partnership with Mercedes-Benz, marking the German marque's return to Formula 1 after decades away.
