The Ferrari 500 TRC was the last four-cylinder Ferrari sports racer, developed in response to new FIA regulations for 1957. It featured a 1,985 cc DOHC inline-four engine producing 190 bhp, paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Notable engineering advancements included a reinforced chassis for increased rigidity, a lower center of gravity, and a coil-sprung rigid rear axle for better handling. Designed by Pinin Farina and built by Scaglietti, the 500 TRC is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful Ferrari racing spiders ever created. It adhered to stricter FIA rules, including a symmetrical windscreen, a wider body, a mandatory soft-top, and increased fuel capacity. Despite being rarer than the 250 Testa Rossa and 250 GTO, the 500 TRC was a highly successful race car, sold to private teams worldwide, making it a sought-after collector's item today
